The opening sequence of the short film, The Broken Things (2024). Premiered at the 48HR x Imagine Film Festival Amsterdam, through Love Technique production. Directed by Harukaze Legouge, Jeen Verbunt and Yonah de Beer.

The 'workplace' setting was designed to incorporate vivid shades of orange and blue, making a vibrant and functional environment that maintained the essence of a work-like atmosphere. The  role of the characters as furniture repairers was juxtaposed with the film's camp aesthetic and alternate reality theme. Our goal was to seamlessly blend these contrasting elements into a cohesive and visually engaging space.
Set required clearing to create an empty void like atmosphere.
Essential to the narrative of the film, three broken items were sourced.
This location was designed to match the director Harukaze Legouge’s vision of building suspense. By having the room appear repeatedly, we aimed to keep its mystery and oddness intact with unconventional spacial design. Creating a sense of eerieness for the audience.
